Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the Deputy Security Manager with OCONUS-based static security operations on assigned DynCorp International (DI) program(s) under the direction of the Shift Supervisor. Perform first line supervisory responsibilities to affectively ensure mission compliance. Assist as directed in the development of security policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure mission required performance and coordinate at the direction security management activities and concerns with internal and external customers.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for all ECP activity and addresses any concerns from the guard staff and/or persons entering the compound.
Actively monitors all activities being conducted at the ECP and coordinates additional efforts with the IOC and Shift Supervisor.
Relieves guards as needed and conducts periodic scheduled and unscheduled post inspections.
Prepares and disseminates daily reports to the Shift Supervisor for all ECP operations. Will also back-fill the Lead Guard – Patrol function as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of industrial security laws and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels.
Knowledge of company’s security policies and procedures.
Knowledge of computer programs required by contract.
Have a demonstrated knowledge of guard functions and Entry Control Point procedures.
Knowledge of a variety of weapons systems.
Strong communications skills.
Ability to work within a multi-national team structure.
Ability to successfully complete mandatory pre-deployment orientation and training, and periodic re-qualification tests.
Preferred qualifications include military combat arms.
Experience & Education
Associate’s degree in associated discipline.
Two (2) years of military or civilian law enforcement experience in security operations may be substituted for each year of the two (2) year degree.
Candidate should at a minimum possess five (5) years security experience.
Law enforcement experience can be gained in the employment of any full-service Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to meet physical, medical and other requirements required by contracting agency.
Ability to work in a high threat environment and sometimes in austere conditions.
Travel
No travel while deployed.
