The Area Security Manager will work under the supervision of the Area Manager Kirkuk, and the guidance of the Country Security Advisor in Erbil.
Role Specific Information
Development and implementation of the NRC Security Management System at area level
Conduct Security Risk Analysis (SRA) according to minimum operational requirements (MOSS)
Minimize security risks to the operations of NRC
Management of security staff at area office
Support, training, control and development of security staff
Prepare reports as required
Communicate and cooperate with relevant external security actors
Train and develop staff in safety and security
Conduct security assessments to new locations within the area office
Our Ideal Candidate:
A University Graduate in a relevant discipline (Security, Risk & Crisis Management or similar), a seasoned professional with an analytical mind, who can gather information from strong networks they build and maintain. An individual with significant political and cultural awareness and highly experienced in humanitarian context Additionally, we are looking for a professional with proven experience liaising with relevant stakeholders.
A demonstrated leader with strong communication and management skills, it is vital that the incumbent is familiar with the context in Iraq.

Contract period: 6 months
Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions
Duty station: Kirkuk
