Location:: Debaga Iraq
Security Officer will be required to manage and be accountable for the provision of security policies,
codes of practice, strategy and operational activities . The ideal candidate will be required to
provide professional advice to ensure that strategies are adopted using available resources to the
maximum, including planning, organizing and managing the rotational work of guards to ensure that
the work is accomplished in a secure manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
A) Security:
Organize, supervise and follow up the security arrangements and regulations for staff and
guests.
Report and monitor the daily security situation in the KRI and Iraq where relevant to operations.
Attend security and safety related meetings and those held by INSO.
Provide logistics assistance to all staff and management.
Supervise security issues, acting as chief of guards and maintaining all guarding tools.
Identify the additional needs of security to staff.
Coordinate with management and other staff for a more secure environment and keep low profile in organization’s offices.
Brief the newly arriving staff and quests on the security and safety policies .
Perform any other duties that may be required by line managers.
B) OBLIGATION AFTER WORKING HOURS:
Due to the nature of the tasks included in this is position, the incumbent is required to be able
to respond to any demand related to the tasks indicated above after the working hours time.
Required Qualifications (Education,Knowledge & Skills)
Educated to a degree level, with considerable professional experience gained over 5 years
operating at a supervisory or logistical level in the private and or public sector
Demonstrable track record of managing risk and operational security services is an advantage.
Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing practical solutions for strategic and
operational change is essential along with knowledge of security risk management issues,
services and systems both within the public and private sector, nationally and internationally.
Experience of managing budgets and understanding of financial management and systems is
desirable.
Experience of managing a security workforce and a detailed knowledge of employment
legislation and working practices is a big plus.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
Ability to work as part of a team and to motivate staff.
