Position Summary:
This position will assist with security training and enforce security policies within the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Responsible for a wide range of duties, including ensuring security programs are up-to-date and distributed to the program within the operating locations, assisting personnel with Security Clearance related issues, and processing CAC applications. Must be capable of learning the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). The Security Administrator may also assist with other personnel security measures as required.
Major Job Activities
1. Conducts security indoctrination and education programs for new hire employees as needed. Performs recurring training at request of Supervisor, Operations Manager or Program Director.
2. Smart Card Processing. Security Administration is notified of employee(s) who needs Smart Card access. Security Administration provides SF85P form for employee(s) to complete.
3. Conduct fingerprinting of individuals being processed for NAC’s, NAC-I’s or Secret clearances.
4. Verify citizenship of all US citizens being processed for NAC-I and Secret clearance processing.
5. Provide recommendations to plans, policies, methods, techniques and processes that will improve security and security management on the contract.
6. Maintain a dialogue as appropriate with installation law enforcement personnel to enhance our relationship and increase security of assets we have under our control.
7. Assist in maintaining a database to track and monitor key, lock and seal control and assist with periodic inspections and surveys to ensure contract compliance.
8. Initiates or assists with reports on investigations, inspections and incidents in the AOR or as directed by the Program Director or Operations Supervisor.
9. Assists with investigations and reports upon the loss, compromise or suspected compromise of classified material.
10. Assist with the processing and tracking of CAC applications, security clearance paperwork, and other related forms and processes.
11. Gain a working knowledge of the Defense Biometrics Intrusion Detection System (DBIDS)
12. Gain a working knowledge of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).
13. Performs any and all other duties and assignments as required.
14. Tracks Master CAC Metrics and FN Master Metrics.
15. Security Administrator has access to the BUA and occasionally assists with updating BUA.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Excellent computer skills required as well as interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be trainable as it pertains to JPAS. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Kuwait driver’s license.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
This position requires at a minimum a High School graduate or an equivalent diploma.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in Personnel Security with a basic knowledge of computer security, physical security, industrial security, personnel protection and physical protection.
Skills:
Excellent computer skills required as well as interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
