Qualifications
Minimum 4 years experience from working in humanitarian emergency contexts with security management responsibilities.
Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
Documented/proven results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Good coordination skills.
Fluency in French and English is a requirement, Arabic an asset.
NRC experience is valued.
The candidate for the position would ideally be a citizen of the ECOWAS states.

Job description
The members of the team will be on full-time contracts in order to be available to support NRC in responding to emergencies. This will mostly be to assess needs, initiate coordination and to start up any required first response activities in the affected area until handed over to interim/permanent staff. This may mean a rapid deployment at short notice into a new emergency.
