International mine company which has gold mine operations in Ghana is looking for Security Superientendent
Job Description
Support the Security Manager in the following:
The development, implementation and management of the overall company security strategy and its associated architecture
Develop and implement policies, standards and guidelines related to company security.
Liaise with government security agencies and conduct intelligence gathering on crime trends and update employees accordingly
Deputise for the Security Manager as the focal point for security events and emergency response planning and execution
Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of company assets. Evaluate suspected security breaches and recommend corrective actions(including incidents involving contractors)
Oversee the development and implementation of security awareness and training program
Conduct security audits, risk assessments and submit report to the manager for consideration
Define and implement an ongoing risk assessment program that will define, identify and classify critical assets, threats and vulnerabilities regarding the assets with protection measures
Conduct investigations and submit reports on security incidents
Perform any other task.
Job Responsibilities
• Provides supervision and instructions to security officers on the operations of the access control and surveillance systems.
• Monitors and maintains all security systems.
• Maintains Post Orders for security.
• Conducts Performance Test evaluations on department employees, procedures and equipment for the security department.
• Assists the Security Manager in establishing Performance Data and assessing vulnerability to Threat assessments.
Education and Experience
A degree from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum of 5yrs relevant work experience at a similar position or a minimum of ten (10) years Military/Police experience in a senior leadership position.
A thorough knowledge of private security standards and procedures.
Good written and oral command of the English language
Multinational cultural experience desirable
Excellent Staff Management Skills
Good MS Office application Knowledge
Drive with a valid Ghanaian driving licence
Skills
• Must be able to work and think independently.
• Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Experience in security operations including communications, access control, surveillance systems, good report writing skills.
• Must possess Global Security Management Training Certification or complete certification as soon as possible.
Strong planning and organizational skills
A proven ability to work unsupervised and operate with a degree of autonomy
Strong leadership skills
A proactive approach and a willingness to work outside the job specification when required
Honesty and reliability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
