We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and skilled Advisor to provide technical support in mainstreaming health, safety, security and safeguarding management across the organisation, primarily within delivery of the International Citizen Service programme. This new post will provide leadership in developing and rolling out our new Security and Safeguarding Management Framework. As the UK Government looks to triple the ICS programme by 2020, this is an exciting opportunity to build capacity of our staff team and local partners.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with a comprehensive understanding of strategic, tactical and operational global safety and security risk management. Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people is desirable.

We require someone with at least two years’ experience of working in working in security management position for an NGO and a minimum of one year’s (cumulative) experience working in programme delivery outside of the UK. You will have proven expertise in developing and implementing security policies, procedures and protocols and in delivery of associate training. The post holder must be computer literate; be happy to travel overseas periodically, sometimes at short notice; and fluent in written and spoken English.

Commitment to  ‘Working with Children and Young People Policy’ is a requirement of employment. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
