Role and key responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Country Director, responsibilities include:
Being the focal point for all issues related to security
Ensure that all new staff are aware of safety procedures on arrival in the country
Provide all employees of security briefings and updates to ensure that they apply the procedures in place
Ensure the security and evacuation plans are always updated and every employee knows their role and responsibilities
Liaise with UN agencies, NGOs and other external stakeholders to obtain security information and analysis of the regional situation
Provide regular assessments and risk assessments for operational areas.
Write regular security reports with situation analysis and recommendations
Be sure to meet the communication needs of the field and ensure that employees are trained to use radios and other communications means necessary
Qualifications and technical skills
Minimum 2-3 years experience in unsafe environments, preferably in Africa, Asia or the Middle East
significant management experience and safety procedures
Organizational and communication skills
Ability to lead, mobilize and manager of national and international staff
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to organize work teams over difficult terrain Access
Ability to work in an unstable environment at safe level
Ability to organize work teams over difficult terrain Access
Excellent written and oral skills in French
Knowledge of local and / or regional experience desired
