Role Description
Performs security related duties. Primary focus areas are: procedure compliance, physical, electronics, personal, product and information security. The position coordinates and ensures the proper operation and integrity of policies and procedures during his/her shift. Assist the Security Manager in the planning and implementation of security programs and measures to insure the protection of all Pfizer Global Supply property and leased facilities in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities
• Enforce all security procedures as well as other applicable policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all colleagues, contractors and visitors.
• Follow instructions and performs duties as indicated by Manager/Team Leader, Security.
• Responsible for the safekeeping and good use of all security vehicles, equipment, and materials.
• Respond to special incidents and assist in investigative issues as required.
• Coordinates the inspection of property entering and leaving the facility.
• Monitors the appropriate operation of the communication system, including programming of portable radios.
• Reports, documents, and take actions upon any incident related to security officer coverage, fence conditions, perimeter security, light adequacy, life safety, loss of property, or any other security related issue.
• Assists emergency response personnel on the management and control of emergency situations, serve a liaison with Site Leadership, and contact support agencies during emergencies as instructed by the Incident Commander or designee.
• Conducts security inspections of systems.
• Ensure coverage of any security post as needed.
• Will ensure that effective security preventive tours are conducted.
• Assists in the operations and maintenance of the Access Control, Closed Caption TV, and other Security Systems.
• Assists the Security Manager to ensure that contracted security officer services provider complies with the contract agreement.
• Ensure that security officers comply with their respective post orders and with Pfizer policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications
Education:  
• High school diploma required, Associate or technical degree desirable

Experience: 
• At least five (5) years experience working in industrial security in pharmaceutical environment.
• Military, government or civilian security guard and/or law enforcement experience desirable

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; reach, stretch hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, push & pull objects, climb stairs and must be able to see, talk or hear. The employee must lift weighting up to 15 pounds; and/or move and/or transport objects.

Language Skills
The incumbent must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in Spanish and English. Must have ability to write simple memos, notes and to make entries into records in Spanish and English. Oral communication in English desirable.

Computer Skills 

Able to use computers and related business application software.
