Senior Ranger Training Developer / Team Lead

Overview:
Initiates and coordinates NGMS Ranger training programs to support the MNG Training Base in Ranger doctrinal material and the NGMS Ranger POI. Performs as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on training the Ranger POI by being professionally skilled in Ranger training and the systems approach to training process.

A.  Duties/responsibilities:
  1. Develops POI(s) for NGMS programs of instruction in support of Ranger training to enhance training capabilities as directed and prioritized by OPM and NGMS. Develops, staffs and submits POI(s)to OPM-MNG for approval.
  2. Coordinates with the NGMS/Weapons Training Wing Commanders for any changes as needed.
  3. Provides Ranger Training and assistance to NGMS Officers/NCOs. Assists OPM and MNG with the implementation phase of Ranger training.
  4. Performs other mission-related tasks as required.
  5. Assists with Ranger doctrine development and standardization procedures in accordance with OPM-MNG Publication Action Team (PAT).
  6. Assists Chief Trainer, as required.
  7. Ensures POI and training material are developed IAW MNG Management and Operations Procedures (MAOP) Volumes 1,2,3,6, and 11 and Publications Standards Document Volumes 1 & 2.
  8. Conduct Train-the-Trainer (T3) Course.
  9. Transition as directed in support of the Training Assistance Team (TAT).

B.  Independence: Performs duties under the direction of Chief Trainer.  Accomplishes responsibilities independently within specialty area, IAW established objectives, policies and procedures.

C.  Supervisory Responsibilities:  Supervises (8) Sniper Trainers and (9) Saudi Interpreter Translators.

Qualifications:
A. Education Level:  Some College preferred; Graduate of Non-commissioned Officer Basic Course, commissioned officer course or civilian equivalent preferred.

B. Experience:  Former officer or non-commissioned officer with at least 2 years experience in U.S. military training methods of instruction and 2-4 years experience in a Squad Leader through Platoon leadership position in a combat unit.

C. Must be Ranger qualified.  Served as a Ranger Instructor at the U.S. Army Ranger School preferred. Served as an instructor or undergone extensive training in Mountain Operations, Amphibious Small Boat Operations or Advanced Urban Warfare and Breaching Operations preferred.  Operational experience in a Special Operations unit desired.

D. Specific Knowledge Skill and Ability Requirements: Must have knowledge of and experience with the Systems Approach to Training and basic U.S. Army training methodologies. Must have a thorough knowledge of U.S. Military Ranger Operations. Professional training experience in a multi-cultural environment is desired. Must possess superior ability to express thoughts both orally and written. Proficient in the use MS Office Suite Software.


Note: In order to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an expatriate, an individual must be issued a work visa by the Saudi Arabian Government.  The labor law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides that the maximum age for the issuance of a work visa is 60 years of age. In addition, work visas for the Vinnell Arabia Program are titled “Training Consultant.”  The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia visa offices will only issue work visas for Training Consultants to males.
