SITP Instructor Tracking Code88-082Job DescriptionThe Afghan National Army (ANA) Special Infantry Training Program (SITP) provides dedicated in-depth training and subject matter expertise to organize, man, equip, and train Special Infantry units for the ANA. Special Infantry units are elite, highly mobile light infantry units specializing in assaults on conventional targets. Conduct of this training effort is at a coalition facility located in the greater Kabul region.Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while in Afghanistan.
Job Duties:
Training Afghan National Army soldiers on physical conditioning, small arms, crew-served weapons marksmanship, explosive breaching, rotary-wing insertion and close quarter battle instruction.
Must comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. Required Skills
MS Office & personal computer skills.
Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
Excellent Interpersonal and People skills.
Organizational and project management skills.
Able to obtain and maintain s US Government Secret Clearance
Valid US Passport
Must be able to pass IRDO to include the physical standards.
Must wear protective clothing and equipment as required.
Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that could potentially be reassigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government.
Must be willing to deploy and live on forward operating bases operated by Afghan National Army under austere conditions without regular U.S. PX and Commissary facilities.
Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR. Required Experience
Candidate shall have a background in a Special Operations Unit, E4 or higher.
