We are currently seeking an Intelligence Targeting Specialist in Afghanistan.
- Provides Intelligence targeting support to ISAF/USFOR-A, IJC and/or RC CJ2 umbrella organization
- Supports the maintenance of the ISAF Joint Effects List (JEL), the No Strike List (NSL), Restricted Target List (RTL) and Joint Prioritized Effects List (JPEL); and the synchronization of joint/coalition targeting effort and all assets, lethal and non-lethal
- Coordination with ISAF/USFOR-A, IJC and RC intelligence staffs pursuant to the deliberate and dynamic targeting processes is required
- Responsible for tactical and operational intelligence targeting subject matter expert to the Targeting Cell; responsible with ISAF for select kinetic strikes on key al-Qaida, Taliban and Insurgent personalities and select non-kinetic actions on malign actors within the ATO
- Responsible for synchronization of intelligence efforts for ISAF/USFOR-A, both lethal and non-lethal
- Responsible for maintaining intelligence/situational awareness of all operations and disposition of Coalition Forces in support of ISAF/USFOR-A
- Responsible for intelligence preparation of the battlefield, maintaining a thorough knowledge of all plans, orders, force capabilities and operations in CJOA-A in order to provide recommendations and updates to the Chief of Operations, the J3 and the Commander
- Supports information dissemination of targeting packages and products throughout the CJOA-A
- Attends the Joint Targeting Working Group (JTWG), Joint Targeting Board (JTB) and other related meetings
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years analytical experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with operational level experience preferred
- Experience in targeting operations in support of CT operations or operations in Afghanistan / South West Asia desired
- Targeting experience should include the preparation of target packets and exposure to the Find, Finish, Fix, Exploit, Analyze and Disseminate (F3EAD) process / procedures
- Proficiency in utilizing basic computer applications and intelligence related automation in support of analytical efforts and product development
- Must possess strong research and writing skills and be capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of Afghanistan Theater of Operations requirements
- Former MOS 1N, 35F, 350F, 18F, 35D, 34A, 180A or service equivalent
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Associate's Degree Required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Equivalent military experience at the mid-level Non-commissioned Officer (NCO), warrant officer or company grade level will be considered in lieu of degree
- Equivalent mid-level military enlisted or company grade officer experience preferred
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Top Secret/SCI
