Job Introduction:
To support Cash Operations in the on-going development of risk management, security, compliance to best practice, procedures, training, technical, and health/safety expertise primarily in the cash business throughout Kuwait and drive specific security/risk related projects as directed by the CM and Cash SEC.
Role Responsibility:
• Cash Operations and Security Expertise: Develop expertise in all aspects of cash operations with particular emphasis on the evolution Security Technology, and branch operations including vaulting, CPC productivity, vehicle operations including vehicle security, crew operations, trip planning, productivity and loss prevention.
• SOPs and Policies. Ensure that Security Policy and Procedures documentation are up to date. Maintain a “gap analysis” process to monitor key cash SOPs held by branches. Establish a system to monitor the currency and relevance of all SOPs and work
instructions. Ensure that they are properly documented, distributed, and that proper actions are taken to ensure compliance.
• Project Management: Support the project management and roll out of specific security related projects such as buildings, vehicles and new security equipment using proper project methodology, which will improve the performance of the business and mitigate risks. Monitor projects to ensure projects rolled out on target, on budget, and fully implemented.
• Operational (Cash Security) Audits: Coordinate internal security teams in terms of programmed security and branch inspection audits. Produce reports and recommendations as directed with an emphasis on cash operations security and best practice, BCP testing,
• Cash audits and reconciliation : to be carried out weekly and reported to CM, Financial Controller and Divisional Head of Cash.
• Operational Training and Awareness: Assist the Training Manager in the development and delivery of relevant cash operations, and security training modules for training and security awareness. Coordinate Security training across the Cash Business.
• Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Crisis Management. Work with the Director of Operations Support to coordinate country BCP and Crisis Management Centre (CMC) procedures. Ensure that they are properly documented, distributed, tested, and that proper actions including audits, training, and rehearsals, are taken to ensure compliance.
• Cash Operations Health & Safety: Assist the Director of Operations Support in implementing and monitoring of practical Health & Safety policies, and procedures to be applied in all countries at the front line level. Ensure that all Branches have properly updated evacuation plans in place to deal with different case scenarios, i.e. fire, bomb threats, duress, etc.
• Leadership: Lead the Internal Security team, and develop skills through training in all related security areas.
• Administer : all limits applications and reports, conduct loss investigations, manage Initial Attack Reports (IAR) and Full Attack Reports (FAR) reporting to Group / Regional Cash Security. Ensure all insurances are maintained and ensure close liaison with Group Risk and Insurance Department (GRID). Procure and provide Evidence of Insurance as required.
• Procurement : prepare all necessary approvals for design / procurement of secure vehicles and other major assets requiring Cash Security approvals before proceeding with purchase.
The incumbent might from time to time be requested to provide support and /or oversee other duties within as directed by Country Manager or Divisional Manager Cash Services.
