Manager I Project Management/Planning Operations - WSTC-KU Support Operations Manager
*****THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING*****
Raytheon IIS has a requirement for a Support Operations Manager to serve as the primary Logistics Planner in support of the WFF effort for US Forces-Kuwait. Candidate must have a U.S. passport or U.S. Military ID.
The Support Operations Manager is the operational logistics planner and will be primary POC to coordinate with members of an integrated functional support team to ensure that all administrative and logistical requirements are adequately planned, resourced, executed and accounted for in support of the Training and Rehearsal Center-Kuwait.
Required Hours:
Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s), and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities:
The Support Operations Manager reports directly to the Country Program Manager and shall be responsible for the following:
Provide leadership and direction for an integrated functional area team to ensure all training activities are fully resourced.
Provide centralized, integrated, and automated command, control and planning for resource distribution management operations for Training and Readiness Center-Kuwait (TARC-KU).
Establish priorities and coordinate the daily operational requirements with logistics operators in the areas of supply, maintenance, material program, procurement, and fleet management.
Provide technical advice and subject matter expertise for all logistics activities / functions. Interface with the Government, subcontractors, and local vendors to ensure training is fully resourced.
Maintain oversight of all logistics requirements necessary to accomplish training and coordinate with the Government, subcontractor, or local vendors to ensure training support requirements are met.
Develop, consolidate administrative and logistics reports; routinely reporting to the Country Program Manager on the status of all open, on-going and completed support activities.
Provide support posture and planning recommendations to the Country Program Manager.
Plan Future Support Operations to support training at remote locations within the CENTCOM AOR.
Plan and monitor support operations and take appropriate action to ensure training support requirements are accomplished.
In coordination with functional area members, develop long-term sourcing strategies to improve efficiency in supporting all training requirements.
Propose innovative business solutions and technical approaches to ensure business area and program success.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years experience directly managing support operations in government and commercial defense markets.
Demonstrated knowledge of support operations processes and related systems including subcontract management, logistics, supply and asset management.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project).
Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Must be able to obtain an interim DoD Secret security clearance prior to start.
Desired Qualifications:
Support Operations Officer / Logistics and/or Administrative Officer
Possess current DoD Secret security clearance eligibility
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or related field with a minimum of 6 years experience managing support operations. 8 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied.
