Weapons Engineer/Armourer (044jc)
My client is niche Aviation Training and Maintenance Company are now seeking a Weapons Engineer/Armourer for an initial 2 week contract in Mauritania and possibly further work in Mauritania and the Far East at a later date.
You will be reporting to the Senior Consultant or Managing Director and you will be part of a team overseeing and teaching local military engineers the fitting, loading and servicing of the weapons systems on the AW109 airframe.
To be eligible for this role you will need to have experience of rockets and forward firing guns on helicopter platforms. The weapons systems you will be working on are the Hydra M261 70mm rocket launcher fitted in pods as well as the FN Herstal .50 cal forward firing gun pods.
In return they are offering an excellent daily rate, with all food, accommodation, travel and insurance provided by the company.
