Job Summary
Advise and mentor Afghan National Police (ANP) officers assigned to the MoI Personnel
Movement Cell under the Ministry of Interior’s Recruiting Command Directorate.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Supports Resolute Support Mission (RSM) through developing ANP trainees, recruits, and Rest & Relaxation (R&R;) personnel movement and movement tracking policies and procedures in support of the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
  • Oversees the mentors training ANP Movement Cell Officers on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development and implementation in respect of all ANP and Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) training movement planning and coordination; movement tracking procedures and policies; job descriptions; organization and functions, workflow, staff actions and desktop procedures.
  • Aid and advise senior Ministry officials in supporting systems developments on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure development of MoI organizations with efficient and detailed management and operational systems.
  • Supports RSM through developing ANP trainees, recruits, and R&R; personnel movement and movement tracking policies and procedures in support of the MoI.
  • Advise and mentor ANP officers assigned to the MoI Personnel Movement Cell under the Ministry of Interior’s Recruiting Command Directorate.
  • Advises ANP Movement Cell Officers on SOP development and implementation in respect of all ANP and ANCOP training movement planning and coordination; movement tracking procedures and policies; job descriptions; organization and functions, workflow, staff actions and desktop procedures.
  • Aid the Mentor in advising senior Ministry officials in supporting systems developments on a regular basis.
  • Ensures development of MoI organizations through efficient and detailed management and operational systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Superior writing, computing and communications skills required.
  • Ability to use office equipment, email, and MS Office products.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, read and understand complex documents
Experience & Education
  • At least 5 years’ experience in transportation or logistics management.
  • At least 2 years’ experience formally leading or teaching others in complex tasks.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
  • Must be able to obtain a interim SECRET clearance prior to deployment and maintain it through the course of employment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Must pass all medical and fitness requirements directed by US Central Command (CENTCOM) in order to deploy
  • Must be able to operate in harsh and austere conditions of Afghanistan
  • May qualify on and carry a weapon (pistol and/or rifle)
Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
