Overview:
Performs maintenance repairs and technical expertise training on TOW
systems within
SANG. Trains assigned SANG soldiers in diagnosis and repair of TOW Systems. Prepares lesson plans and training materials when required. Calibrates and maintains TOW test sets and other related diagnostic sets. Completes related forms and maintains appropriate records.

SANG. Trains assigned SANG soldiers in diagnosis and repair of TOW Systems. Prepares lesson plans and training materials when required. Calibrates and maintains TOW test sets and other related diagnostic sets. Completes related forms and maintains appropriate records.
A. Duties/responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques on TOW missile systems to determine cause of malfunction and performs necessary corrective adjustments and repairs.
- Requests parts for defective components and repairs unserviceable TOW and infrared components by removing and replacing modules, assemblies, and sub assemblies. Determines serviceability.
- Performs tests and adjustments of TOW missile systems within prescribed intervals according to technical manuals and SANG directives.
- Provides technical assistance and instruction to SANG personnel.
- Maintains records and reports related to TOW testing intervals as well calibration data on assigned TOW test sets often interfacing with the Production Control Department.
- Performs repairs on TOW platforms as required to complete testing.
- Performs troubleshooting and repair of TOW test sets when required.
- Able to perform duties in hot climates and adverse conditions to include field environments.
- Able to lift up 50 LBS.
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
A. Education Level: High School. Military Technical
Training or civilian equivalent experience in the repair and maintenance
of electronic TOW or weapon systems. Military Occupational skill
identifiers desired are within the Armament Maintenance Fields.B. Experience: A minimum of Six (6) years experience in TOW repair; or an equivalent combination of civilian education and work experience.
