Mobile Strike Force Company Trainer

Job Description:


The Mobile Strike Force Company Trainer shall implement and operate programs, practices, and procedures for developing optimal utilization of support personnel. Design and administer programs to train all levels of personnel on Mobile Strike Force Company operations, organizational maintenance management, company operations and training, and recovery operations. When necessary, develop tests and visual aids, coordinate class arrangements, conduct training classes, develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities, and develop train the trainer classes. Develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. If required, may use technical experts to assist in training. The Mobile Strike Force Company Trainers shall train the following tasks:

Provides command and control, supervision, and technical guidance to the Mobile Strike Force Company Headquarters and Strike Force Platoons; Provides operations training to the Mobile Strike Force Company and platoons to include the platoon leader, platoon sergeant, squad leaders, and drivers for all Strike Force Platoons and Sections; Trains the Mobile Strike Force Company Commander to be responsible for all aspects of the Mobile Strike Force Company and associated property, equipment and facilities; including mine roller attachments.

Trains company personnel to management all facets of Mobile Strike Force operations related to the planning, operation, coordination and evaluation of all methods of company operations. Trains how to command all types of operations to include preventive maintenance and logistical support to the company.

· Trainer shall train duties at the Mobile Strike Force Company level of operations

· Train the trainer and then monitor trainer progress

· Train on company operations, supply and organizational maintenance operations, and recovery operations

· The Mobile Strike Force Company Trainer shall report to the nearest Team Lead as well as the Program Manager located at Camp Morehead

· Trainers will be responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel

· Based on circumstances that are unique to their work locations, trainers will be responsible for making on the scene decisions as to how to execute the curriculum

· Along with their local site managers, trainers will be responsible for assessing how well
the ANA students have learned the coursework

Work Location:

Various locations throughout Afghanistan

Required Hours:
Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.

Required Qualifications:
Have been a military E7 or higher with at least five years’ experience working at the operations in a U.S. Army Stryker Unit to include Stryker Company Operations time and a US Army MOS equal to a 11B or 11M series 11 Series Officer Branch Qualification with Stryker Company/Battalion experience. Qualified Master Gunner/Driver is highly preferable.

· Good Project Management Ability and Skills

· Possess Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills and be Able to Communicate with Local National Contractors

· Train the trainer and then monitor trainer progress

· Motivated, self-starter and able to operate with limited guidance

· Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that they could be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government

· Must be willing to work in hostile areas

· Must be willing to deploy and live on forward operating bases operated by Afghan National Army under austere conditions without regular U.S. PX and Commissary facilities

· Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothing and equipment as required. In the conduct of their training contractors may encounter hostile forces

· Familiarity with the ANA Decrees is a must

· Must be a United States citizen that has proof of citizenship and U.S. passport or U.S. Military ID

· Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders

· All tours are unaccompanied

· Must be able to obtain a DoD U.S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to start

Required Education:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree but equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement and some education can be used in lieu of work experience.

Desired Qualifications:
· Master Gunner qualified
· Master Driver qualified
· Prefer extensive Stryker Company operations background
· Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers
