Job Summary
The Emergency Response Team (ERT) Lead is responsible for overseeing the camp’s daily emergency
response duties accordance with the security programs standard operating procedures. Responsible for enforcing all applicable policies and procedures and is directly responsible for the overall emergency response activities at the facility.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide leadership and management oversight in support of rapid response to threats, attacks, and other significant events that pose a threat to the facility.
  • Such events include but are not limited to armed attacks, breaches of perimeters or checkpoints, hostile protests, direct or indirect fire, fires, and any other situation deemed necessary for the use of the ERT
  • Conduct planning, coordination, and execution of security operations at each facility in coordination with the Site Security Lead
  • Provide accurate and timely security surveys and reports which includes but is not limited to perimeter defense, management of security personnel both static and mobile, condition and maintenance of allocated resources, training, and other reports deemed necessary to the security mission.
  • Maintain administrative data of all personnel assigned to ERT to include leave, performance assessments, appraisals and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, accountability, and care of all assigned DynCorp furnished property.
  • Conduct routine assessments in compliance with requirements of the camp’s Emergency Action Plan.
  • Stay abreast of current security threats and disseminates them accordingly.
  • Conduct the daily planning, coordination, and execution of site security inspections, training, and maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Provide command and control of Emergency Response Team to incidents within their area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for maintaining physical control and accountability of assigned personnel and equipment.
  • Other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with persons at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ACAS security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the English language.
  • Strong managerial, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms used in support of company operations
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles of various weights in a tactical manner both on and off-road.
  • Able to prepare and present briefs detailing the mobile and static mission at his/her facility.
  • Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Familiar with all aspects of security operations as relates to this task order.
  • In-depth knowledge of the employment of firearms, and security equipment being used in static and mobile security operations.
  • Able to drive in both a defensive and offensive manner.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multitasks in a timely manner.
  • Possess self-control and excellent customer service skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work in the field under rigorous conditions and possess excellent decision-making skills.
  • Possess tactical and technical proficiency in the areas of static and mobile security operations.
  • Possess the ability to encourage team work and the capacity to implement team building through developmental counseling and periodic performance assessments.
  • Ability to obtain a MRPT / Secret clearance
Experience & Education
  • Five (5) or more years Military or Law Enforcement experience with a preference toward Combat Arms and SWAT.
  • This experience and background may have been gained in any of the following organizations:
  • Military Special Forces/Special Operations Assignments
  • Military Infantry / Combat Arms Service
  • Commercial executive protection services with military or police background
  • Law Enforcement experience (Military Police/Criminal Investigations Division; or an Emergency Services, SWAT type unit of a Law Enforcement Agency)
  • U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service
  • U.S. Secret Service
  • U.S. Federal Agencies, i.e., FBI (former special agents with protective security background)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh, and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions.
  • Candidate must pass pre-deployment medical screening as required by the contract.
Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Must have obtained a Weapon's Certification within the last 10 years
Candidate must be able to pass both weapons qualifications and physical fitness course: The minimum standards are:
  • Endurance Run completed in 2:30 minutes (two minutes and thirty seconds)
  • Obstacle Course completed in 2:00 (two minutes)
  • M-4 Rifle qualification scoring of a minimum of 240 points on the approved DSS qualification course
  • M-9 Pistol qualification scoring of a minimum of 400 points on the approved DSS qualification course
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle
