The primary goal of this program is to provide subject matter expertise and training support to assist
Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) through Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (SOTF-A) and Afghan National Army Special Operations Command-Special Operations Advisory Group (ANASOC-SOAG), in the execution of their mission. The mission is to train ANASOC units to perform their duties and responsibilities independent of Coalition assistance.
Mentor, Train/Advise/Assist the ANASOC Division G3 Staff on the integration, Forecasting and Planning for the use of ground and air fire support assets in support of ANASOC Divisions Combat Operations.
Mentor the G3 Air and FSO in fire support planning, Coordination with Higher and Lower HQ to facilitate Direct/Indirect Fire support, Develop guidance and tasks as required for subordinate forces; identify the requirements for additional combat forces; and advise on the training of ALL aspects of the use and planning for CAS Operations.
Before the selected individual is deployed he/she understands he/she will be processed through an Individual Deployment Site/CONUS Replacement Center (IDS/CRC).
Prior to deployments individual will read, and thoroughly understand the terms and conditions which he/she will be deployed and the expected field environment
This is a contingent position based on funding from the customer
Minimum Tangible Qualifications:
Experiences: Minimum of three years’ experience mentoring/training and advising within Afghanistan and/or Muslim environment. Minimum of 10 years of Military Operations with experience on Brigade and/or Division Staff-Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power
Point.
Preferred Qualifications: U.S. Army CMF 18 E8 or Higher; successful ODA time and operations experience at SOTF and/or Group Level.; experience as a Brigade or Higher Air Operations Coordinator a plus.
