The Detail Leader / Guard force Commander (DL/GFC) provides the leadership and management capacity necessary to develop and maintain safety and security requirements
on project. By impressing upon his staff the need to be on constant alert for any criminal or terrorist surveillance directed against the Embassy or other official facilities, or its personnel, the DLGFC provides a critical component of security management.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Ensure successful delivery of task order objectives through effective implementation of operational
Local Guard Force (LGF) contract, schedule, and performance requirements
• Provide LGF leadership through the management of assigned supervisory personnel
• Responsible for ensuring that post scheduling, status reports and operationalsummaries are met in
accordance with contractualrequirements
• Set operational and support priorities across allfunctions of the LGF detail
• Work with leadership to coordinate with the applicable representatives overseeing LGF performance
• Provide individual performance reporting and evaluation for staff assigned to the LGF detail
Reports to:
Deputy Project Manager Guard Force (DPMO-GF) and/or Unit Support Coordinator (USC)
Management Responsibilities:
Deputy Detail Leader Guard Force (DDLGFC), responsible for allstatic security positions

General
• Exceptional tacticalskills
• Preference given to those who currently possess posses a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Preference given to those who currently possess valid WPS training certificates
• Desired Middle East theatre background or experience
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written, is essential
• Demonstrated professional maturity in an operational context
• Able to make quick, appropriate decisions under stress
• An ability to understand their role and contribution in a larger mission construct

Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Specific
• Attend a protective security services training course and obtain weapons qualifications, as required
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, U.S. passport and U.S. Citizenship
• Able to travel overseas to and within countries considered dangerous and/or with below normal health
standards
• An ability to secure and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Seven (7) years experience in protective security assignments
– Two (2) of these years shall have been in a protective security supervisory position
– Experience can be gained in the employ of any federal, state, local or commercial entities
providing high threat protective services.
