Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity as a Weapons Repair Technician in
Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract. The technician disassembles and examines parts and assemblies and reassembles and adjusts components. Diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of small arms using a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE with little or no supervision. Assists with Inventories. Enters and updates computerized information. Safely uses common hand tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance. May instruct other employees in proper repair maintenance procedures. Required to conduct and receive cross training as directed. Determines serviceability of weapons and parts.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance prior to employment.
2-3 years experience in small arms repair required.
US Army MOS 45K, USMC 2111 or civilian equivalent required.
Requires accredited Armament repair training.
Must be able to pass SASC PQS training course within 30 days of hire.
Driver’s license may be required.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week. Must be able to lift 25 Lbs. continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
May be required to travel to Forward Operating Bases.
Preferred Qualifications
Driver's license holder preferred.
