Director Of Training – Maritime Security Systems

Responsibilites and Duties:
Engility is looking for a qualified and experienced Director to manage a training and maintenance program for a maritime security system in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea (EG).
  • This multi-faceted program involves managing, coordinating, developing, and implementing training courses for local national personnel in the operation and maintenance of a national maritime security system, including system operations and Electronic and Electro-Mechanical maintenance.
  • The program will also require the maintenance of the existing maritime security system by Engility Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • The Director will direct and supervise a team of Engility trainers and maintainers to perform these functions.
  •  Responsibilities will include direct coordination and interface with senior EG government leaders – primarily in the Presidency, Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of National Security – overseeing the preparation and presentation of Programs of Instruction (POIs), lesson plans, and training support packages, operational coordination with EG counterparts, and management and implementation of maintenance requirements for the maritime security system. Additional responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery of high quality training, to include exercises, on a well developed and coordinated timeline; development and implementation of measures of effectiveness to validate training, and coordination with Engility headquarters on all matters pertaining to this program.
MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • U.S. citizen.
  • At least three years experience in an international/overseas environment.
  • At least three years experience as an instructor/trainer/training developer.
  • At least one year in a military/Federal Operations Center.
  • At least five years as a Manager/Supervisor.
  • At least two years as a strategic/operations planner.
  • At least ten years of military/Federal service.
  • Experience in operations of surveillance/security systems
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Candidate must have experience in education and training, and experience and education in one or more of the specific responsibilities noted in this solicitation.
  • Fluency in the Spanish language, a military or Federal security or defense experience, and experience in international and/or diplomatic environments, will be core requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program Management/Manager.
  • Proficiency in Castilian Spanish.
  • Bachelors or Graduate level education in training/education, or related fields.
  • Experience in maintenance of surveillance/security systems.
  • Professional experience in Africa and/or Latin America.
