Job Description
The Range Operations Team, under the direction and supervision of the Range Team Leader, coordinates and instructs in the management and operation of live fire ranges. Duties include management of the Shorabak Range Training Center, scheduling the use of the range facilities, operation of the ranges for various individual and crew-served weapon systems, oversight of live-fire training, instruction and evaluation of indigenous instructors. Ensures the range operations are conducted in accordance with applicable U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Afghan doctrinal publications and local range regulations.

Provide Operational Risk Management Assessments.
Ability to work with external agencies to support training.

Job Requirements
Operational experience in Afghanistan or Iraq training international forces.
Former U.S. Army or Marine Corps Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, Combat Engineer or Special Operations officer, warrant officer, or NCO.
At least one active duty deployment to Afghanistan between 2002 and 2013.
Experience in management of live fire range training operations.
Experience in the operational characteristics of various individual and crew-served weapons.
Experience in coordination and scheduling of internal and external trainers and training facilities.
Experience as an Observer and Controller in support of live-fire training.
Experience writing evaluations on the professional effectiveness of instruction.
Experience in Mission Essential Task List development.
Supervisory experience of assistant range operators, live-fire training evaluators and instructors.
Supervisory experience of field training and assignment of duties to range support teams.
Experience as the coordinator for training support.
Experience as a military weapons and tactics instructor as required.
Experience and service as a Range Safety Officer (RSO).
Experience and service as a Range OIC or NCOIC.

Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoD secret clearance and background screening. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information. Applicants must pass CENTCOM medical and dental deployment requirements and be in possession of a current US Passport.
