Guard ECP Over Watch - TCN , Afghanistan

Job Summary : The Guard-ECP Over Watch falls under the ANP Security Department. Under the supervision of the Lead Guard ECP, Lead Guard Patrol, and Site Security Lead, the incumbent will perform duties related with the entry/access control to DynCorp facilities, protective patrols, perimeter security, and internal security of the facilities.
  Principle Accountabilities   Performs the following duties as they pertain to assigned programs: Guard ECP Over Watch


  • As Guard ECP Over Watch the incumbent monitors from a safe distance visitors who enter/exit any DynCorp/ maintained facilities entry and access points.
  • Responsible for the safety of the screening guard.
  • Reacts appropriately in accordance with the Security SOP to any threats observed.
  • Enforcing of all rules and regulations pertaining to entry and exit of personnel and vehicles.

  • Assist in discouraging behaviour that would reflect poorly on the company, the United States Government, and the Department of Defense.
  • Complete all tasks and assignments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, accountability, and care of all company or program issued equipment.
  • Provides deterrence against the commission of wrongful and unsafe acts, unauthorized and/illegal activities, including potentially life-threatening activities, protection of information, programs, and company or program facilities and property.
  • Will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by an appropriate supervisor.           
Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels.
  • Knowledge of company’s security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to conduct static security operations.
  • Technical and tactical proficiency with the various small arms used in support of company operations.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at Alta language test level 3+
  • May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure.
Experience & Education
  • Candidate should possess five (5) years Military or Law Enforcement experience with a preference toward Combat Arms and SWAT.
  • This experience and background may have been gained in any of the following organizations:
    • Military  Special Forces/Special Operations Assignments
    • Military Infantry / Combat Arms Service
    • Commercial executive protection services with military or police background
  • Law Enforcement experience (Military Police/Criminal Investigations Division; or an Emergency Services, SWAT type unit of a Law Enforcement Agency)
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
