Islamic Relief Worldwide are looking to recruit a Security & Maintenance Supervisor who will be based in Birmingham, UK. The Security & Maintenance Supervisor will help provide adequate provision in maintaining IRW offices and shops, ensuring security arrangements are in place. S/he will ensure records are maintained for statutory purposes and that all workers comply with health and safety regulations. You will visit IRW properties regularly to audit existing security and maintenance functions and to highlight areas of non-policy compliance and suggest remedial actions.
The Security & Maintenance Supervisor will supervise security officers to enforce security/safety programmes that enable IRW’s assets to function according to the guidelines, quality standards and operating objectives. You will manage all cleaning staff onsite ensuring the log book is completed on a daily basis and resolving any issues that arise.
The successful candidate should have a Building Services Engineering Diploma/ NVQ/ City & Guilds Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry & Air conditioning qualifications. The successful candidate will have a Security Qualification – SIA accredited and will have a Full UK Driving License. You will have two years of maintaining properties and will have the ability to handle difficult situations and incidents as required.
