Responsible for the overall security in Asia Pacific region and the development, implementation and management of the security strategy and standards of the company to ensure protection of people and assets and to support various operations throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
- to develop realistic Security and Safety strategies for GW APAC
- to identify and correct program deficiencies and improve methods of operations within the logistics and security environment
- Security management and internal auditing of own and third party warehouses and transport companies.
- To advise APAC GW customers and subcontractors about Security and safety.
- Security contact person for main high value cargo clients
- Ensures compliance with established corporate security policies.
- To prepare and conduct training activities, including developing desktop and situational exercise programs to test an organization’s business continuity, crisis, emergency and security management capabilities, in line with internationally recognized standards or best practice.
- To liaise with law enforcement, private investigators, insurance department and other security managers at BU level
- To oversee all aspects of regional security, including but not limited to, guard operations, alarm systems, access control, CCTV systems and recording equipment, police liaison and perimeter control.
Required Qualifications:-
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in safety and/or security management in Supply Chain, logistics and security environment
- Familiar with Asia countries’ local laws and regulations and is knowledgeable in crime prevention techniques and modern security technology
- Good local law enforcement contact network across the Asia Pacific region
- Able to work effectively in an inter-agency environment with security professionals and local law enforcement.
- Strong computer competency, including but not limited to, work processing, database, and other IT systems.
- Strong cultural awareness and experience of working in the geographical area of assignment.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with positive attitude
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Excellent analytical, communications, organization and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel
- Candidate will less experience will consider as Regional Security Manager
