Responsibilities:
To continually assist in enhancing the working environment and business processes of Guardian Global Resources by analysing, evaluating and recommending new operational systems, policies and procedures to improve best practice.
Assist in the maintenance,review and development of operational and
administrative policies and procedures.
Manage the operational responsibilities of the selected client base provided.
Continue in the development and delivery of contractor training as required for optimum business performance in line with our current and future standards.
In liaison with Maritime Operations Director, ensure that staff and contractors are both protected and adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
To ensure successful continuance of the company’s operational policies and procedures, including ISO 9001, firearms registers, licences (OGTCL), equipment logs, daily occurrence logs.
Assist the Maritime Operations Director in ensuring that the company is prepared for the introduction of ISO 28007, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001.
Managing the continuing compliance with ISO 9001.
Liaise extensively with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally in support of operations.
Work jointly with Maritime Operations Coordinators and Directors
to ensure successful continuance of maritime operations.
Undertake logistical risk assessments and analysis on every hotel, airport, and vessel transfer.
Vet and audit new suppliers as required.
Assist in ensuring the smooth logistical processes of airport, hotel and vessel transfers in alignment with vessel schedules.
Oversee all travel arrangements for maritime contractors .
Assist where necessary, acting as a first response in emergency situations keeping lines of communication open on a 24hr basis.
Knowledge and Experience
Previous experience within the maritime services sector or equivalent.
A developed knowledge and understanding of key maritime security issues
including piracy, maritime terrorism, port/vessel security and the best management practices to mitigate them.
Skills and Qualifications Experience in co-‐ordination of operations ,ideally across international territories.
Strong client and sub-‐contractor facing skills with an ability to efficiently communicate with a wide range of individuals.
Ability to co-‐ordinate activities ,facilitate goals and manage resource requirements.
Strong administration skills and an ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously whilst meeting exacting deadlines and standards.
Excellent planning, change and time management capabilities.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft
Excel, Word and Outlook.
