Each position within our business is of key importance and we are currently recruiting for (an Operations Security Manager to service our contract with UBS in Sydney & Melbourne. This role will be based in Sydney with a commencement date as soon as possible.
Role Responsibility:
In line with our core values the responsibilities undertaken within this role, but not limited to are as
follows:
Coordinating access into UBS occupied buildings/office suites through the effective administration and usage of automated access control systems
Coordinating the provision, maintenance and usage of security alarms and CCTV systems
Conducting security inspections as directed by local management and in consultation with UBS AG regional security management
Implementing counter-terrorist security alert measures including written plans to be agreed with local management and maintained to ensure relevance
Assisting in the risk categorisation of UBS buildings and internal areas, and in identifying the security requirements for such buildings
Implementing the clear desk policy and conducting compliance checks
Ensuring that all UBS staff report any security related incidents immediately
Reporting all security or crime related incidents to local management and UBS AG regional security
Providing security awareness training to all new UBS staff as part of their induction process
Maintaining security awareness training to all UBS staff on a regular basis
Establishing and maintaining close liaison with local law enforcement and security agencies
Producing and maintaining a ‘Local Security Procedures’ document detailing all relevant security policies and regulations
Attending and participating in regional security management conference calls and meetings
Ensuring that they are aware of all off-site UBS conferences and events and facilitating the provision of additional security measures at such events where necessary
Establishing close relationships and liaison with local building management staff at all UBS locations in Australia
Providing quality assurance of all on-site/off-site security providers including manned guarding companies and remote alarm monitoring services
Assisting in investigations into breaches of security, or in disciplinary or criminal matters, as required
Supervising the performance of manned guarding personnel deployed by the Supplier at UBS premises in Australia
Produce search plans and documents detailing how UBS premises will be searched in the event of a security incident such as a bomb threat
Ensuring that reception/ switchboard staff are familiar with the actions to take on receipt of a bomb threat or other security related incident
Ensuring that personnel responsible for handling mail have adequate instructions on identifying suspect packages and clear guidelines on the action to take should such a package be identified
Other security or facilities related task required by local management

Australian citizenship, currently residing in Australia
Proven experience in providing physical security services within large, complex organisations
A current Security Licence
A current Driving License
A current First Aid Certificate
A current Occupational Health & Safety Officer Level 3 Certificate or the ability to obtain
Minimum Certificate or Diploma level in security management or ability to obtain this accreditation
Highest standards of personal and professional integrity
Fully licenced and trained in accordance with all national & state legislation and regulatory provisions
Proven ability to understand and act on written instructions, rules, orders and training materials
Proven ability to solve problems, prioritize activities, and make sound recommendations to the client
Responsive to client needs, ensuring agreed initiatives are seen through to completion
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the administration of the ADT Access Control Systems
Ability to compose precise and succinct written reports as may be required under the terms of the security contract
Ability to communicated effectively with UBS staff and visitors
High level of leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills
High level of computer skills
Demonstrated knowledge of Equal Opportunity Employment legislation
Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
A team-player attitude and are able to work unsupervised
