Job Description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking retired or former USMC Combat Marksmanship Trainers to perform as a LAF Marksmanship Advisor to the Lebanese Armed Forces

This position will be located at various locations throughout Lebanon.

This Security Assistance Training Team is one of several being provided to the Lebanese Armed Forces(LAF) in support of increasing the Lebanese Armed Forces operational readiness. This training team is being provided as part of a Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs. This is the fifth year of a multi-year US Assistance program.
Position Scope: The Primary Marksmanship Advisor will provide guidance and assistance on how to improve the LAF marksmanship training program. The advisor will assist the Marksmanship Training Unit (MTU) in developing a sustainment training program on the fundamentals of marksmanship instruction as required. The advisor will also assist and advise the LAF’s Primary Marksmanship coordinator in all areas of weapons qualification and marksmanship training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Monitors, assists and advises the LAF MTU with sustainment training for the LAF’s designated marksmanship instructors who will also oversee operations at the nine EST 2000 marksmanship simulator training sites. Visit all EST 2000 sites to observe training and provide feedback to the site lead as to the quality of training, and the status of the EST 2000. Prior to travel the CTP Team Chief and LAF will jointly assess the security situation and determine whether or not travel to the EST sites is feasible. If required the LAF will provide additional security personnel with vehicle.
*Monitors, assists and advises MTU Training Team in planning and executing live-fire 25 meter individual weapon zeroing.

*When requested, on an exception basis, the trainers may evaluate individual students during dry and live fire exercises and provide one-on-one training assistance to individuals to demonstrate to the LAF trainers how to train students to improve their overall marksmanship skill and confidence.

*Assists and advises LAF MTU instructors on rifle, pistol, and crew serve weapons: Explains and demonstrates weapon safety, firing positions, sight picture, alignment, breath and trigger control, and other specified fundamentals and techniques of marksmanship as required to maintain proficiency as a MTU instructor.

*Assists MTU personnel to correctly instruct weapon nomenclature, weapon disassembly, weapon operation, weapon stoppages, and immediate corrective action for small arms and crew serve weapons.

*Assists and advises MTU personnel in the areas of range safety regulations, inspection of small arms weapons to ensure that weapons are clean, properly lubricated, and in mission capable operating condition.

*Assists MTU instructors to observe personnel during firing to ensure that safety procedures are followed. Offers corrective advice to personnel to improve marksmanship and to aid in correcting weapon malfunctions.

*Assists MTU instructors in enforcing firing safety regulations and maintaining range discipline during live fire range operations.

For 10 years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the delivery of training services to foreign military personnel in support of US foreign assistance programs. We offer a very competitive compensation and benefit package and there are no upfront out of pocket expenses for persons hired. All travel and transportation arrangements will be made and paid for by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Living expenses are paid by AMERICAN SYSTEMS with all employees living in western-style secure accommodations. Work is performed five days per week at a Lebanese Military Complex. Persons hired will be full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. There is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms.

Required Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience: .
*Retired/ former senior USMC Warrant Officer, must have the USMC MOS of 0931/0306 Combat Marksmanship Trainer (CMT). Must have completed the formal course of instruction at Weapon Training Battalion, MCCDC, at Quantico, VA.
*Service in infantry units.
*Combat experience.


Other Requirements:
*Candidates must be physically capable to endure strenuous activities in austere conditions. Physical requirements may include lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing outdoors for two hours at a time without a break in 80 degree weather conditions with up to 80% humidity.
*Candidates must be versed in, and capable of developing a Program of Instruction (POI) in a limited amount of time using available materials and publications.
*Must meet the USCENTCOM C-JTSCC 952.225-0009 Medical Screening And Vaccination Requirements For Contractor Employees Operating In The CENTCOM Area Of Responsibility (AOR)(Aug 2011)
*Ability to present proof of recent negative HIV test. (Although Lebanon does not require any specific immunizations, candidate should have current immunizations as listed on the US State Department and CDC’s websites for travel to Lebanon.)
*Must possess a current US Tourist Passport (with no Israeli stamps). (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired.)
*Candidate must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test.
*Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
*Ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an interpreter.

Desired Skills/Experience : Candidates with experience advising foreign military personnel.
