Job Description
Prevent the unauthorized interdiction of explosive devices or material from entering Camp Integrity. Ensuring safety of all Camp Integrity guests.

Essential Functions:
Maintain the EDD K-9’s proficiency in explosive detection through routine training.
Maintain the health and hygiene of the EDD K-9.
Protect life and property on Camp Integrity through utilization of the EDD K-9.
Summon professional assistance in rendering first responder first aid to any personnel becoming injured.
Provide emergency response in situations such as security alerts, civil disturbances, suspected or actual criminal violations and or other life threatening situations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must currently have or maintain a Secret security clearance. Must have completed or served three years in the military, law enforcement or protective security from private sector, with honorable discharge. Must have one year of service as a dog handler, and one year of security related experience. Must be able to recognize K-9 diseases, be familiar with hygiene requirements and know the physical condition of the dog.

Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization including management, peers, team members and customer-base. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Working Conditions:
International travel to high threat / high risk or austere areas required. Work is based in a busy camp and office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Work hours will be shift based. Some extended or weekend hours are required.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 100 lbs. Requires standing for long periods of time in all weather conditions. Requires intermittent sitting, walking, running, climbing, squatting, stretching, bending, and kneeling throughout the work day. Requires constant use of hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
