Job Title: Security Systems Technician Must have active US Secret clearance Minimum experience is 7 Yrs in technical installation of audio. Video, and security related products Must be familiar with UL Standards Must be Lenel Certified Responsible for pre-wiring, installing, and maintenance of products related to security systems, access control related, motion sensors, cable pulling, cable jacks, control panels, security control boxes/tableanels, keypads, low voltage lighting, cameras, video systems, servers, racks, connection, and termination.

Video, and security related products Must be familiar with UL Standards Must be Lenel Certified Responsible for pre-wiring, installing, and maintenance of products related to security systems, access control related, motion sensors, cable pulling, cable jacks, control panels, security control boxes/tableanels, keypads, low voltage lighting, cameras, video systems, servers, racks, connection, and termination.
Tasks:
Install, move, and modify security and related equipment, according to job specifications, standards, drawings, and procedures
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and maintain and repair security equipments and systems according to manufacturer recommendations and specifications
Maintain and report accurate records of hours and materials used and monitor and document changes in design like cable routes or relocation of security related products
Perform additional functions incidental to technician activities, install electrical and mechanical control mechanisms
Install audio and video equipment, and structured wiring related to access control, video system, and intrusion alarm systems
Train the customer on system use and how to obtain system maintenance if needed
Maintain and troubleshoot systems. Pre wire low voltage wiring in UL Standards
Terminate various low voltage wiring including RG-6, RG-59, cat5, and speaker wire including wire labeling
Use wire troubleshooting tools such as tracer/toner and continuity testers. Read blueprints Read product material for product knowledge advancement
Connect and troubleshoot single and multi zone distribution systems
Understanding of frequency response, familiar with video equipment accessories including cameras, adaptors, amps, pre amps, receivers, etc.
Properly mount (secure, level, centered) various equipment including plasma TV’s, cameras, etc.
Knowledgeable in power and lights, connecting and terminating lights system to circuit breakers and power panels and ups system
