Job purpose and key deliverables This role is responsible for all data capturing, relevant administrative duties, monitoring functions as well as Supervising BATSA related services.
This role will coordinate security related activities between BATSA and Fidelity services.
Key responsibilities
To ensure that BATSA risk priorities are clearly resourced and to communicate gaps to the Business Security Manager: Marketing, whilst identifying and implementing supporting mitigation strategies.
Carry out regular threat assessments with regards to marketing operations and communicate the findings of these to the Business Security Manager: Marketing & Marketing Security Manager paying particular attention to changes in threat to company, personnel and assets, and make timely recommendations to counter these.

Actively be involved with the reporting on the status and maintenance of electronic tracking equipment, CCTV, Access Control equipment, fire detection/alarm systems, radio and telephone communications, etc.
Support minor investigations in a professional and ethical manner should any of the Business Standards be transgressed or breached.
Collate all relevant evidence and present this in a professional and understandable format to all relevant parties at hearings / enquiries.
Document and maintain effective record keeping on all services provided and activities performed by service providers.
Document all depot security activities in Monthly reports, Engagement Matrix, record Minutes of Meetings, draft reports on Risk Assessments and complete all administrative responsibilities within the set timelines as determined by the Business Security Manager: Marketing / Business.
Assist with and monitor the activities / procedures of the Security Operations Officers: Support under his control.
Assist with all Security Operations within the larger BATSA business environment as and when required.
Stimulate professional monitoring and crisis handling with internal and external service providers.

Essential requirements
Preferably have SAPS, Law Enforcement or Armed Forces background and have worked in security monitoring services .
Possession of a Matric certificate National Diploma in Policing or Risk Management.
Must be registered with PSIRA as a Security Officer.

Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with external service providers.
Needs to be able to demonstrate an ‘all around’ Security and communications competence.
Ability to work well with peers and senior management, inspiring trust and confidence.
Work cooperatively with others within and across business units, towards a common objective .
Identify links between situations that are not obviously related.
The ability to use your creative reasoning to identify key issues and alternative solutions.
