Job Description
You will be responsible to perform security, first aid, fire emergency response duties.
Security Operations
Fire Response / Fighting
First Aid Response / Treatment
Safety Key Responsibilities
Primary Tasks –
Provide emergency first aid response where required
Provide emergency security response where required
Provide emergency fire response where required
Perform Security duties of a static and mobile nature
Perform escort duties where required
Be conversant with all relevant departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Be familiar with all emergency response equipment and it’s operation
Be familiar with all work areas and report near miss events or hazards that exist or occur within these areas
Ensure safe house keeping of workstations and other facilities
Maintain a high standard of appearance / personal hygiene
Attend to all customer enquiries in a courteous and timely manner
Strive to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators
Ensure that a high standard of service is provided to customers
Ensure all reports are completed in an accurate and timely fashion and stored appropriately
Carry out Drug & Alcohol tests as needed
Carry out Occupational Health & Safety audits where appropriate
Attend toolbox meetings on a regular basis
Participate in all programmed training
Participate in all “competency based” training
Perform other tasks as directed by Serco Management representative(s)
Secondary Tasks –
Provide assistance to Fire Technicians as required
Respond to and stop the spread of fire as required using basic hand held fire equipment use and operation of small pump/hose
Capability profile
Essential Education & Licences
Hold a current Vic Security License (Certificate II Unarmed Security Guard & Crowd Control)
Hold and maintain a current Occupational First Aid Certificate
Hold and maintain a current Defibrillation Certificate
Hold and maintain a current Analgesic Gases Certificate
Hold and maintain a current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
Hold and maintain a current Vic Drivers License
Hold and maintain Vic Certification in Level I Fire FightingHold and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) if required.
Experience
1 – 2 years working in a similar Security or Protective Services role
Demonstrable Emergency Response experience; First Aid, Security & Fire
Skills/Knowledge/Attributes

Calm and considered in emergency response situations
