Overview of the Position
The Mechanical Asset Team Leader reports to the Mechanical Asset Manager. The Team Leader works with the machine operator to oversee and improve safety, effectiveness and efficiency of mechanical support to ERW Clearance Operations. The team leader is responsible for employment of the machine as tasked by the Mechanical Asset Manager. Under over all supervision of the Manager, the Team Leader will conduct the following duties and responsibilities. • Assist the Manager in the Planning, deployment and tasking of the Machine. • Check service records of the machines. • Verify the technical condition of the Machine and assist in maintaining a store of technical supplies for maintenance. • Ensure compliance with mechanical ERW clearance SOP and submitting suggestions for required changes and improvements. • Ensuring a complete brief of the task is received from the ERW Clearance Team Leader prior to commencing operations. • Communications with the operator are maintained during operations. • Supervision and monitoring of the mechanical clearance asset and providing immediate feedback to the machine operator and Clearance Team Leader as required. • Identifying areas to improve productivity and the safe use of machines. • Evaluating the mechanical clearance assets achievements. • Be prepared to operate the machine as required. • Implement emergency evacuation drills on a regular basis. • Any other tasks as assigned by the Mechanical Asset Manager.
Essential Experience
Education: Leval of Education – N/A
Health: The incumbent shall be physically and in good state of health.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in operation and supervision of heavy earth moving machinery. Good inter-personal relations Seeking ways to ensure maximum and safe use of machines Basic knowledge on demining activities and willingness to serve in hazardous area
Must be willing and able to work throughout Libya
Languages • Read, write and speak Arabic and English.
