Job Summary
The Mobile Training Team (MTT) Members will ensure classroom environments build a professional education experience through mentoring, reporting and evaluation of programs.
Principle Accountabilities
Manage the classroom environment to the extent that a professional educational experience is available to students.
Mentor the host country (Jordanian and/or Palestinian) trainers, in order to build the delivery skills of those instructors and improve the overall quality of training and understanding of the INL curriculum.
Keep records regarding classroom activities including names of students, attendance and grades, and make reports of these activities available to the Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Program Manager and INL Director-Jerusalem.
Develop ongoing evaluations of the training, facilities and logistics, and report the results of the evaluation to the Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Program Manager and INL Director- Jerusalem.
Coordinate with and monitor activities and services delivered by subcontracted training providers to assure delivery and quality of instruction. Also monitors and verifies invoicing and claims for payment of services by the subcontractor to the local DynCorp program office to assure that services billed for have indeed been delivered.
Any other duties deemed necessary by either the Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Mobile Training Team Leader, Deputy Program Manager.
Knowledge & Skills
Tactical Experience, with particular attention given to crowd control, firearms training, high risk arrest, searches, defensive tactics, unusual occurrences and all tactical field skills named in the Statement of Work. In a few select cases, extensive knowledge of Law, Investigations, Human Rights or General Police Topics may be substituted for Tactical Experience. Military experience in tactics and operations, especially at instructor level, is highly desirable and may in some cases replace civilian police experience.
Curriculum Development, Review, and Delivery
Demonstrated, applied knowledge of Mentoring, Facilitation, Motivation, Strategic Planning and Leadership
Effective evaluation of training results (how well the students learned)
Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs, especially word processing, “PowerPoint” and other presentation programs, as well as “Excel” or other basic spread sheets
Ability and willingness to travel and work extensively within the countries of Israel and Jordan as required, under sometime austere conditions.
Experience & Education
Five years law enforcement experience with a training background, or proven experience as a law enforcement instructor in an academic environment.
Training background will include actual classroom or tactical forum teaching experience, evaluation of courses and instructors, Training Administration and/or Instructor Mentoring experience, either in police training academies or an educational setting at the college or university level. Or, when specifically approved by INL a select number of MTT members may possess only military experience in the field of Special Forces tactics and experience as an instructor/trainer of such.
MTT International Trainers will have instructor certification from a recognized academy, college, or university, preferably as a police instructor, with at least two years as a Certified Instructor
High School Diploma and Instructor Certification is required;Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to possess U.S. or acceptable Foreign Passport
Demonstrated ability to work in difficult and possibly dangerous environments, preferably in a Middle-Eastern locale
