Job Introduction: The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic direction and ensuring the profitability of the Country business unit. This would include the achievement of operational and financial growth of the business, human resources management as well as sales, marketing and business development.

Role Responsibility:
Lead and manage the Nigeria business
Provide strategic direction and input to the business
Identify and initiate strategies that will add growth to the business to ensure its long term profitability and survival
To plan, prepare and monitor the business plan and budget so as to maximise profitability
Direct, formulate and / or approve policies and procedures on service quality, pricing and customer relations
Direct the company towards providing and effective efficient and profitable service
Ensure business compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Effective management of Country financial performance
Manage relationship between actual results, budgets and forecasts
Manage cost saving initiatives
Manage revenue growth
Strategically engage in sales and new business development
Initiate business growth opportunities by driving integrated security solutions for new and existing customers
Identify and drive new business opportunities in the country and in the Africa region’s sphere
Involved in the negotiations of large bids and tenders
Ensure management of annual contract escalations of existing customers

Management of operations
Ensure effective management of client retention and customer service levels
Manage quality management and Best Practice implementation
Efficient stakeholder management
To maintain a clear communications path to the shareholders so that key issues confronting the Company are promptly identified and kept in focus.
Effective management and development of Country personnel
To maintain close contact with the workforce through key managers to ensure feedback opportunities, the maintenance of good morale and a high standard of staff integrity and honesty.
To ensure that the correct level of skills, education and experience are identified for management positions and to recruit adequate persons to fill these positions.
To formulate and / or approve wage increases
Effective management of subordinate personnel in terms of
Performance assessment
Skills development
Career path planning and succession planning

The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum Qualification & Experience
Relevant business qualification with a preference for a financial qualification
Experience within the security, services or logistics environment would be preferred
At least 5 – 7 years’ experience in a business and / or operational senior management position
Experience in change management, the development and implementation of medium-term growth strategies and strong operating processes and mechanisms for sustained performance.
Experience within a corporate entity or multinational and the relevant reporting in this environment would be advantageous
