Position Overview
The Assistant Special Security Advisor supports overall mission security by processing background
investigations, complying to security standards, and ensuring that the appropriate people understand
and follow proper procedures. The successful candidate will be one with a hands on approach to
providing sensitive compartmented information (SCI) support, with a thorough background in
security procedures, to include planning and accrediting facilities in accordance with the DCID 1/21
standard.
As such, the position requires one to be a US citizen fluent in English and to possess a TS/SCI
clearance.
Responsibilities
Security Assistance
o Process personnel background investigations for special security clearance actions.
o Formulate and ensure compliance with automated information systems security procedures.
o Suggest, implement, and monitor compliance with the OSC - I special security policies and procedures.
o Conduct and coordinate the training for special security representatives.
o Liaise between Government and industrial security officials.
o Support collateral and higher access badging procedures for the OSC-I headquarters, in coordinat ion with the J2/Joint Intelligence Support Element Staff.
Perform other related duties as required
Education / Skills and Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compartmented programs in DoD, US Intelligence
Community, or supporting US contractors.
Working knowledge of security policies, to include NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DCIDs, and DIA M - 1 Manual
Associate’s Degree (or exceptional experience in security training and inspections)
TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
