Terms
We offer transparent working agreements in full compliance with UK Employment and Taxation laws. Depending on your grade and the amount of work you wish to do you can expect to earn between £30,000 and £40,000 per year. All overseas earnings under current HMRC rules are qualifying for tax free status under the Seafarers’ Earnings Deduction scheme. Our aim is to support our personnel with continual ongoing employment.
Maritime Response Service has limited vacancies for all grades of Maritime Safety (Security) Officers working in both the unarmed and armed roles. MRS deploys teams of 3 or 4 officers, led by a Team Leader who has extensive maritime experience. When deployed, the duties include:
Advising and assisting the crew installing and dismantling physical ship protection measures.
Enhanced watch keeping and management of observation teams.
In the event of an identified threat: The application and guidance of appropriate countermeasures.
The application of lethal force.
The application of primary medical care.
You will be expected to work closely with your fellow MRS team members and positively interact with the ships officers and crew.
