Job Description
Minimal Risk has a requirement to provide a Protection Officer (Rig), for ongoing Seismic/Drilling operations in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq.
The preferred candidate will join an existing team and be responsible with assisting the Asset Protection Managers (APM) with the general security and safety of the rig location, whilst liaising with the indigenous Oilfield Protection Force (OPF) and the Drilling Supervisor. They will also provide assistance in managing and maintaining the overall security operation.
Other points are:
◦Rotations are B2B 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off. (Initial 2 month probation period)
◦Individual sub-contractor contracts are with Minimal Risk.
◦Comprehensive Insurance package.
◦Range of additional benefits.
Ideal candidates will be:
◦Arabic speakers – desirable
◦Self reliant – capable of working on stand alone remote sites
◦Team Player!
◦Good administrators
◦Sensible individual with knowledge in O&G Operations
◦Self employed
◦Organised!
◦Used to working with and controlling Local National O&G workforce and/or TCN Workforce.
◦Proven knowledge of working with Indigenous or National Guard forces.
◦Health and Safety Qualification or proven highlighted working knowledge.
Must be able to start within the next two weeks (awaiting a confirmed deployment date).

Successful candidates will be contacted and must be able to attend an Interview in Hereford on 12 Feb 13 (time TBC)

Proven knowledge in a Team Leader role within a hostile environment – essential
Good Admin and Communications Skills – essential
Oil and Gas Experience – essential
Military Service with Command Experience – essential
Medics Qualification – desirable.
Arabic/Kurdistan Speaker – desirable
