Personal Travel Security AwarenessTraining Consultant m/f
HOURS: Variable: anything from 0–10 hours per week
Contractor Contract

Main mission:
Consultants are required to deliver Personal Travel Security Awareness Training sessions to a range of clients on a range of travel security-related subjects. These trainings may be delivered either virtually (through Adobe Connect using the internet and a telephone line) or face to face (in Paris, or occasionally internationally). Consultants may also occasionally be required to create training material, update existing material, or meet with clients to ascertain their specific needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver training sessions, either virtually or face to face
Ensure that the content of training sessions is up to date and of a high quality
Work with the Regional Security Training Manager on updating and improving the content of security training sessions

Adaptability / Flexibility: Training sessions are often requested at the last minute, and may also be cancelled or rescheduled at short-notice.
Planning / Organisation: Consultants are responsible for managing their schedule and being in the right place at the right time with the right materials.
Communication: Actively listens, checks understanding, uses language and tone appropriate for the audience, expresses ideas clearly and logically, builds rapport, manages the emotions of self and others.
Integrity: Widely trusted, honest and open yet retains confidential information, seen to be truthful, honest whilst avoiding brutality.
Attention to detail: Follows established procedure, develops systems to check accuracy such as checklists, uses quality assurance techniques.

Required Work Experience:
Previous experience in training or teaching
Previous experience working in a high security risk environment
Extensive experience in travel security

Required Skills / Knowledge
Must have several years experience working and operating in high risk environments
Highly desirable to have previously lived as an expatriate
Excellent communication skills both written and orally
Computer literate, essentially with Microsoft Powerpoint and ideally with experience of Adobe Connect
In-depth and operational knowledge of Latin America AND/OR the Middle East AND/OR Central Asia

Travel Requirements:
Travel may be required for delivering face to face sessions. These are typically held in Paris, but may be held throughout France or even internationally.

Required Languages:
Excellent written and oral French Language is essential.
Extra languages: English, Spanish, German, Russian or Portuguese would be desirable.
