RTSC has a requirement to provide trainers with the requisite experience in M1A1 maneuver training who are United States citizens and have proof of citizenship and a U.S. passport.
Job Description:
M1A1 Maneuver Trainer shall teach and mentor the Iraqi Army (IA) on platoon and company level armor operations and maneuver. Additionally, advise and train the Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq (OSC-I) Staff on M1A1 training.
Required Hours:
Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Conduct training six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s), and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Programs of Instruction (POI) in support of armor training.
Advise and assist Iraq Armor Regimental Staff on sustainment gunnery training and training management.
Train Iraqi Armor Officers and NCOs on platoon and company maneuver.
Train IA tank crews on crew drills and basic armor crew duties.
Advise, train, and assist the OSCI-Army staff on all matters related to M1A1 training.
Conduct After Action Reviews (AAR) in conjunction with armor training and operations.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated MS Office Skills and Personal Computer (PC) Skills.
Superior Communications, Organizational, and Interpersonal Skills.
Must be willing to work and live in Iraq, and could be assigned to any location in Iraq based upon the needs of the U.S. Government.
Must be willing to deploy and live on Forward Operating Bases (FOB) operated by the US Government under austere conditions. Force protection is provided by the US Government.
Must adhere to military grooming standards.
Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via security convoys, helicopter, or fix wing and wear protective clothing and equipment as required. In the conduct of their training contractors may encounter hostile forces.
M1A1 Armor Trainers will have a minimum of 15 years experience with armor platoon and company operations as an M1A1 company commander or platoon sergeant.
One year as a Training Center OC or other TRADOC institute instructor.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience training foreign militaries.
M1A1 Master Gunner.
Armor SGM.
Required Education:
Must have a Bachelors degree and 4 years of related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Contractor personnel shall comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders. All tours are unaccompanied.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
