Overview:Oversight on the training that is delivered to GOM counterparts to include PGR, SSP and State and Local police. This oversight will include travel to the site where the training is being delivered to ensure that the delivery of the program is in accordance with program philosophy and within the scope of GOM guidelines for training. The site coordinator will also be responsible to ensure accurate reporting of the training being delivered and confirmation that the attendances of GOM counterparts have completed the necessary vetting requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Site coordinator will work closely with contracted training teams at site locations and also works with SSP SIDEPOL and SESNSP counterparts to focus on development, training and review.
Site coordinator monitors and oversees work and progress of individuals and/or subject matter expert team(s), determining time required to work in country or at an offsite to complete the project and or
training.
Review draft training curriculums and categorize by subject matter and identify target sources for training.
Coordinate directly with SSP and SESNSP to ensure that timelines and scope of projects are fully defined in writing.
Make suggestions to SSP and SESNSP as required on the organization and structure of training programs.
Provide an estimated timeline for review of curriculum and delivery of training to SSP and SESNSP for final coordination.
Report to program coordinator regarding training program updates.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education and/or Experience:
Education: Bachelor, preferably in Criminal Justice.
Language:
English: Ability to perform informal translations, often of a technical nature, (Level 3, oral and written).
Spanish: Must possess a high degree of proficiency in Spanish so as to be able to converse fluently with his GOM contacts or to draft correct correspondence relating to the technical aspects of the project in Spanish (Level 3, oral and written).
Work Experience: 10 years experience required working in a law enforcement organization.
Specialized Experience: Preferred experience working overseas in a post conflict or reconstruction program is highly desirable.
Management Experience: Individual must be able to manage law enforcement support and training projects in a foreign country, including promoting U.S. interests with host government officials, ensuring sustainability of projects through provision of appropriate training and maintenance, and have the ability to integrate competing needs of U.S. law enforcement, development, and security agencies.
Knowledge: The site coordinator for Training will utilize US law enforcement experience and knowledge in such areas as analysis and use of crime statistics, station house organization and procedures, training and career development, operational planning and patrol, standard operating procedures for patrol officers, ethics and anti-corruption measures, conduct and the use of force, community policing policies and practices, civil disturbance management, internal affairs units, force structure and personnel specializations and general administrative and management functions of a civilian police organization.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.

Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.

Individuals with sickle cell trait should consult with the appropriate medical unit or their personal physician before commencing with travel. Short-term (TDY) assignments carry an added risk because of the lack of time to acclimatize. Dehydration, stress, or illnesses compound the basic risks of high altitude.
