Supply Chain Security Manager based in Shanghai

Job description:
The role is responsible for the identification and implementation of Supply Chain Security strategies for commercial and specialty products within their assigned geographic area. The post holder will be a calibrator with Supply Chain Security Manager to implement Security strategies for various segments of the supply chain. They assist with implementation of brand protection technologies within the region.

• Conducts audits in support of the Global Supply Chain Security Review Program to assess the Supply Chain Security of business partners, vendors, and customers in the areas of distribution, transportation, storage, and commercial or specialty trade of products.
• Responsible for implementing regional Supply Chain Security strategies for education, awareness and outreach, standards, audits and brand protection technologies;
• Manages the implementation of brand security technologies employed within the assigned region.
• Identifies product security risks to the commercial and specialty supply chains regionally.
• Implements strategies and programs which prevent theft, diversion and losses from the international supply chain in partnership with functional entities and affiliate management.
• Partners with appropriate affiliate stakeholders (i.e., Operations, QA, and Supply Chain) to provide security input regarding the selection of supply chain vendors. Also partners with appropriate affiliate stakeholders to implement effective audit programs to detect, prevent and resolve supply chain losses.
• Develops key collaborations with regional affiliates to implement consistent standards, programs, assessments and procedures for the international supply chain with careful consideration for developing and maintaining relationships with affiliate management and international supply chain partners.
• Responsible for security due diligence assessments on potential business partners such as wholesalers, distributors, customs brokers and other business-critical functions regionally.
• Collaborates and provides expertise to the Regional Product Security Manager in conducting physical security audits and implementing regional supply chain security initiatives and technologies. Manages vendors for the performance of a broad range of supply chain security-related functions.
• Develops key liaison contacts in industry, law enforcement, government and regulatory agencies to maintain awareness of and provide strategic response to pending legislation, industry trends, external risks and new technologies related to supply chain security.

Candidate profile:
• Bachelors Degree required; preferably in Business, Criminal Justice or an equivalent.
• Experience of working in China and near markets.
• Minimum of 10 years professional experience in a combination of law enforcement and/or corporate security or applicable corporate experience required.
• Ability to interact with all levels of leadership within the organization to drive consensus regarding new policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of commercial supply chains required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Must have fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin.
• Basic knowledge of brand protection technologies preferred.
• Strong oral, written, presentation and communication skills.
• Functional knowledge and experience preferred in the following: developed, implemented, maintained, and managed security policies and procedures; conducted physical security risk assessments of facilities including manufacturing, distribution, trade, and office;
• Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including extended overnight trips. International travel will be required.
• Requires approximately 50% travel.
