Director, Security – Sacramento Kings (Sacramento, CA)

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing and achieving all aspects of the Security Department’sBusiness plan to support the overall business strategy of the Company, including leading and directing Security Team Members.

Key Responsibility Areas:
• Ensure that all elements of the organization’s security practices, procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to.
• Ensure that all elements of the NBA’s security practices, procedures, and policies are implemented and adhered to.
• Determine staff hours and number of personnel required for events.
• Develop, review, and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations.
• Ensure that union contracts, state, and federal regulations are upheld and adhered to.
• Ensure that all elements of the Safety Program are implemented and adhered to within the Security Department.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with appropriate law enforcement agencies and personnel.
• Select, evaluate and develop direct and indirect reports (through consistent use of selection processes and situational leadership practices) to develop skills and behaviors in alignment with company values and to ensure human resource availability within the Security Department.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Security Management; arena or stadium experience preferred.
• Strong customer service focus; a demonstrated commitment to catering to the customer.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be a strong leader with creative and innovative approaches to job related functions.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and human resource management skills required.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
