Job Description
Mission Essential Personnel is currently seeking a Security Specialist to assist with security related issues for the Afghanistan theater of Operations for MEP. Individual conducts Security briefings for all in-coming and out-going personnel and works cooperatively with LSM’s, ASM’s, and the Operations Manager to effect proper assignments based on level of current security clearance access of Linguist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for processing linguists for clearance upgrades from CAT I to CAT II, to include assisting personnel with the completion of CI Screening paperwork, SF86 via the e-QIP application, taking and completing fingerprint cards, CI interview preparation, submission of e-QIP to CoE in support of the Army Investigative Enterprise Solution and tracking until investigation opens at OPM.
• Coordinates completion of OPM Subject Interview’s with CI Assets, to include appointment scheduling and assisting with completion of required paperwork.
• Processing linguists for required CI Re-Screening, from submission of NIAC’s, assisting personnel with the completion of CI Screening paperwork, e-QIP, fingerprint cards, CI interview preparation, submission of e-QIP to DISCO and tracking until investigation opens at OPM.
• Completes adverse information reports and forwards to PMO Security or Sub-Contractor FSO for their action.
• Maintain accurate records of personnel security clearance status.
• Additional duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience with JPAS required.
• Experience with ACAVS preferred.
• Previous or current AFSO/FSO experience preferred.
• In depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) for FSO responsibilities required.
• Four years or more minimum industrial security work experience preferred.
• Must possess TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience working with DISCO, Army CCF, OPM and DSS highly desirable.
• Advanced skills in communication.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
• Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.
• Computer literacy in M/S Office to include Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Possess good time management skills.
• High School Diploma.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A thorough knowledge of cultural, economic, geopolitical, and military issues of the Middle East. Previous experience working with linguists in support of Government operations (Contractor/Military Afghanistan theater experience preferred).
