POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the sections overall activities and functions, acts as liaison to military organizations at the supported site, provides total oversight of the administrative and operational functions of the Bagram Personnel Services section. Work to be performed in overseas locations as well as in the United States. Must be able to communicate with area managers, supervisors, and regularly interact internally and externally with the customer and other government representatives.MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Provide direction, guidance, leadership and support administratively and operationally to the overall activities and functions of the Bagram Personnel Services section. Works in conjunction with Site Management in the development, planning and implementation of activities, plans, procedures, policies and strategies related to meeting the goals and objectives of fulfilling the Program’s mission requirements.
•Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
•Coordinates, conducts, develops and plans appropriate security training programs
•Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, may serve as back-up for absent subordinate employees
•A working knowledge of loss prevention, physical security and force protection requirements and issues.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Works with standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Applicants should be aware that this position involves travel to a potentially dangerous environment. Applicant must be able to meet strict physical fitness requirements defined by the Government Program Office and will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE-ex: Kevlar helmet, body armor, etc)
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Job assignments will involve the conduct of work in out-of-doors areas with exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 35 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting. Personal Protective Equipment is required when applicable. Such equipment includes but is not limited to head; hand; foot; torso; respiratory; vision, and hearing protection.
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.A minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience in law enforcement, military police or related security field.
Must Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance.
Experience:
Prefer an individual with at least Associate Degree or equivalent experience in security field to five years experience. Ability to complete company supervisor leadership training.
Excellent communication and writing skills are also required along with a working knowledge of computer operations to include spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation applications. A strong ability to work independent and as a member of a robust team.
Applicants must be US Citizens and those selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
