Function Note:
The SM is responsible for security management operations as per the CSSP Security Scope of Work. The SM primary responsibility is to manage static and mobile security and to mitigate risk to all PAE/CSSP personnel while maintaining mission effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Developing and implementing a standard operating procedure for compound visitor access to include a weapons clearing and storage procedure, search procedures, proper entry protocol, point of contact process and a visitor’s pass process.
• Monitoring all security radio traffic for the CSSP compound and the mobile security teams and effectively communicates with the security subcontractor, building wardens, and other security entities on all security issues.
• Maintaining an up-to-date running inventory of all security assets to include body armor, and radio inventory.
• Being responsible for overseeing monthly Fire and Attack Drills to keep the CSSP staff in a high state of readiness.
• Generating an after action report of program generated security drills with the COT, DCOT-A, DCOT-L and a representative of the security subcontractor which will be used for further learning analysis.
• Being responsible for visiting all Regional Training Centers as needed to address security issues, perform site inspections and liaise with the Regional Teams.
• Meeting with the Regional Team Leads of the Security subcontractor and the Static Security Team Lead to cover issues such as the current security threat, vehicle maintenance, and site/static security. Conducts investigations of incidents that occur both in the regions, and in the CSSP compound.
• Liaising with all security agencies including but not limited to the U.S. Embassy Regional Security Officer, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Personnel, the security subcontractor and others.
• Managing, directing and having control of all security subcontractors to insure performance is in compliance with the subcontractor’s stated mission procedures. Assists in resolving any challenges facing the security subcontractor and the PAE-CSSP team.
• Monitoring the daily movement of the CSSP team through the MST/PSD schedule. Ensures that the team is utilizing the correct security transportation level. Responsible, with the recommendation of the security subcontractor, COT and DCOT-L) for determining if a mission should be modified or cancelled due to a security advisory or emergency.
• Alert Program team/staff of proper security posture to counter or mitigate risks in the event of a security incident.
Requirement Note:
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a career professional in Senior Law Enforcement, US Military Special Operations, DOS or DOD Force Protection
• Must demonstrate past experience managing security subcontractors with security subcontract value of 1 million
• Must have at least 3 years’ international experience working as a security professional, preferably in austere Post Conflict countries
• Must proficient in the safe handling and proper use of arms and will be educated in the Law of Armed Conflict and the Rules for Use of Force
• Must demonstrate experience generating reports on security program status to include any past security incidents candidate might have been involved in on similar programs
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the safe handling and proper use of arms to include knowledge of the Law of Armed Conflict and the Rules for Use of Force.
• Excellent communication and report writing capabilities and skills
• Familiarization with all Microsoft and word document/applications.
• Must be able to obtain or hold a TS clearance.
