US ARMED SECURITY GUARDS with ISIS - AFGHANISTAN
SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Perform internal guard services to include but not limited to, vehicle and personnel entry control points (ECP), perimeter towers, internal roving patrols, armed guard services for the Camp ASP, and conduct BDOC operations. Armed Guards shall possess the following qualifications:
a. Minimum 25 years of age.
b. Shall be fluent in conversational English at a level necessary to give and receive situational reports. Shall have the ability to read and write in English.
c. SECRET DOD clearance.
d. Guards shall be limited to a work week of not more than 72 hours per week to include time for mount, post and relief as well as training and recertification.
e. Possess a Military/Police background or have equivalent training. If military, must have received an honorable discharge as verified by a form DD-214 (U.S. Military) or comparable national service document for discharge from non-U.S. FVEY country militaries. Personnel who have been discharged with a characterization of “General under other than honorable”, “Bad Conduct”, or “Dishonorable” are disqualified from this position.
f. Guards may be male or female.
g. Must be qualified on primary U.S. military weapons, e.g. M9 Beretta (9mm), M16 or M4 (5.56mm), as well as M240 medium machinegun, M2 .50 Caliber heavy machinegun, and Mk19 40mm heavy machinegun. Contractor personnel shall have the ability to become properly trained and qualified on any Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) that is recommended by the coalition forces. Any special weapons qualifications will be defined by COR. Perform unarmed -Screener duties by searching visitors, their vehicles, and their belongings. Screeners will be proficient at utilizing hand-held metal detectors, walk-through metal detectors, and high throughput personnel inspection systems (Rapid Scan). Female screeners must be available to search females as male screeners must be available to search males.
h. Able to perform internal security guard services, at any potential internal security posting, for up to 12 hours, often in austere conditions to include extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain or snow, while donning all required personal protective gear.
