Job Description:
Segovia’s Afghanistan Liaison Officer (LNO) is responsible for management of remote on-site support for end users in Afghanistan. The position requires strong technical skills with knowledge of RF (specifically VSAT installation), IP, and RT concepts. The LNO is responsible for performing general platform maintenance, troubleshooting, and solution development for network problems to include data, voice, and video hardware troubleshooting. Additionally, the LNO is responsible for building strong relationship with Segovia’s current and future customers in Afghanistan. The LNO will coordinate with the Segovia Program Manager for all programmatic related issues that arise. Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between the customer and
Segovia.
Responsible for developing project timelines,
prioritizations, and project management plans.
Provide weekly status reports to Segovia Program
Management and stakeholders as directed.
Ensure adherence to Segovia engineering standards and
perform acceptance testing for new installations.
Ensure that manual and automated tools and systems are
effective in supporting deployed users.
Coordinate on-site system support at US government
locations in the Afghanistan, including problem troubleshooting and resolution of network events and outages.
Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant
product and service offerings.
Assist in special projects with the ability to
function in a highly dynamic environment.
Ability to work full-time in distressed areas of
Afghanistan.
Adhere to company policies and standards, and follow
company procedures and processes.

Skills and Knowledge
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of
customer trust and confidence as a knowledge expert and team manager.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and
leadership skills with a proven track record of providing outstanding support and service for customers and team members.
Technical and non-technical, oral and written,
communication skills. Ability to develop professional ad hoc reporting.
Basic knowledge of networking standards, protocols,
troubleshooting, and performance tuning as well as basic experience in system administration, including system maintenance, workstation support, Internet connectivity, and network configuration.
Working knowledge of IP LAN/WAN device configuration
and management.
Strong technical skills in VSAT installation,
troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Proven ability acquiring and maintaining current
